I am a certified, innovative educator with an extensive background in science education, virtual instruction, and eLearning looking for a learning and development opportunity to apply my knowledge and skills as an educator and training designer.
After managing the pre-clinical department in a fast-paced startup medical device company, I worked as an adjunct science professor and secondary school educator for 16 years, managing and responding to the learning needs of various levels of learners daily. Most recently, I have been facilitating, updating, and developing training content in a financial institution.
With an understanding of the collaborative goals, my communication skills enable me to coordinate and train others in diverse topics over many different platforms. I have consistently collaborated with others and incorporated feedback to successfully meet educational or company goals.
I seek challenges and can adapt quickly to changing expectations and unexpected shifts in focus, timelines, or platforms. With specific learning objectives in mind, I have adapted in-person curriculum to delivery on five different learning management systems throughout my career.
I am a strong believer in lifelong learning and in fostering that ability in others. As an adjunct faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), I have taught over 1,500 adult students with a wide variety of nationalities and life experiences*. Through my experience, I have improved my problem-solving skills to resolve issues for others as quickly as possible, providing resources and suggestions for them to be successful. My approach to training others is to give them appropriate opportunities to achieve their own goals and to meet institutional requirements, with constructive interventions as necessary.
